Mini War Roblox Factories Tier List Guide
By Jim Liu · Updated 2026-05-20 · 12 factories ranked · Tested across 30+ sessions
Every factory ranked S to D — not by gut feel but by production rate per coin, unlock timing, and how each fits into real build orders. This list covers economy factories specifically; for unit production rankings see the building tier list.
Quick picks
- S-tier early game: Wheat Farm. 120 coins, 15-second build, feeds every unit. Nothing comes close at level 1.
- Skip until level 4+: Steel Foundry and Coal Plant. Both depend on earlier factories being maxed — building them cold wastes a slot.
- Workshop is C-tier now: May 2026 v2.4.2 patch cut its speed bonus from +20% to +12%. No longer a primary slot.
- Late-game priority: Oil Refinery then Research Lab — both S-tier once you hit level 8+, irreplaceable for air units and tech speed.
Factory Tier Rankings — S to D
Wheat Farm
The single best coin-per-slot investment in the game. Unlocks immediately, costs 120 coins, and its food output feeds every unit regardless of your army composition.
Synergy: Feeds all unit types; stacks with Rice Mill for +20% bonus
Oil Refinery
Oil is the rarest late-game bottleneck. Once you unlock level 8, no other factory generates a resource this hard to substitute — opponents without oil cannot field air units at all.
Synergy: Required for Helicopter and Drone; stacks with Power Plant output chain
Research Lab
Research Lab is a force-multiplier, not a direct resource producer. At level 10+ it accelerates unlock timelines across the entire tech tree, compounding the value of every other building you've built.
Synergy: Multiplies every other tech-tree building output by 15%
Lumber Mill
Lumber is the bottleneck resource for your first defensive structures. Without it, Walls and early Barracks cannot be built. Low cost and fast build time make it a mandatory second factory.
Synergy: Unlocks Wall, Barracks, and Workshop construction chains
Stone Quarry
Stone unlocks your primary early defense (Turrets and Walls). The cost is low enough that delaying it costs more in defensive vulnerability than the 280 coins are worth saving.
Synergy: Required for Turret, HQ upgrade, and first Wall tier
Iron Mine
Iron is the entry point to the mid-game military supply chain. Without iron you cannot build Steel, and without Steel most mid-game vehicles are locked. Worth rushing at level 4 rather than delaying.
Synergy: Feeds Steel Foundry; required for Artillery and mid-tier vehicles
Steel Foundry
Steel Foundry is good but gated on Iron Mine being fully operational first. At level 5 you are still in early-mid transition — the 700-coin cost is significant and it produces nothing without iron stockpile.
Synergy: Converts iron to steel; required for Tank, Artillery, and late vehicles
Coal Plant
Coal is useful but situational — it only matters if you're running a Steel + Power Plant chain. For income-first builds, coal has no direct food or coin output, making it a B-tier industrial support building.
Synergy: Powers Steel Foundry and Power Plant; reduces fuel cost on vehicles by 10%
Storage
Storage is situational. In short matches or aggressive strategies, you rarely hit resource cap. In long income-race matches, missing Storage wastes Wheat Farm overflow — which is actually painful at wave 12+.
Synergy: Prevents income waste at resource cap; pairs with any high-rate producer
Power Plant
Power Plant's unlock cost and build time make it unusable in matches that end before wave 15. It earns C-tier because of the early-game tax — in long-form matches it becomes essential, but most players slot it too early.
Synergy: Required to unlock Artillery; powers Research Lab efficiency bonus
Workshop
Post-v2.4.2 Workshop nerf (May 11): production speed dropped from +20% to +12%. At that rate it no longer justifies a primary building slot. Secondary slot in late-game military builds only.
Synergy: Accelerates Barracks and Factory queues; stacks with Factory buff
Barracks
Barracks ranks D on this factory-specific list because its 'production rate' as an economy factory is zero — it consumes food rather than producing resources. It is a military building evaluated on unit output, not resource throughput. See the unit tier list for its military ranking.
Synergy: Core military producer; pairs with Workshop for speed boost
How Factory Choice Drives Your Early Economy
Your first three factory picks decide whether you can afford a third Barracks by wave 8. I ran 6 fresh accounts timing this specifically — see the full build order breakdown in the early-game economy strategy guide.
Minutes 0-5
Wheat Farm → Lumber Mill
Food + construction chain. Both cost under 320 coins total.
Minutes 5-12
Stone Quarry → Iron Mine
Defense chain (Turrets) + mid-game military supply. Unlock Lv 3-4.
Minutes 12+
Steel Foundry → Oil Refinery
Tank and air unit unlock path. Only viable once iron is running.
May 2026 Patch Changes — What Moved in This Tier List
Two patches in May 2026 changed two factory rankings compared to the April list.
v2.4.2 (May 11) — Workshop: A-tier → C-tier
Production speed bonus cut from +20% to +12%. Workshop no longer justifies a primary slot. Previously it was the go-to second building in military builds; now Barracks alone is more efficient for the same slot budget.
v2.4.3 (May 14) — Factory output +12% (indirect effect on build orders)
Factory (military building, not on this list) received a +12% output buff. This indirectly makes Oil Refinery more valuable — more Factories running means you need oil faster. Oil Refinery stays S-tier and becomes a slightly earlier build priority post-v2.4.3.

Factories Tier List FAQ
What is the best factory in Mini War Roblox?
Wheat Farm is the S-tier factory for early and mid-game. It unlocks at level 1, costs only 120 coins, produces 80 food/min, and feeds every unit type. No other factory at the same cost produces a resource that scales as broadly. Oil Refinery and Research Lab are S-tier in late game but require level 8+ unlock.
Is the Barracks a factory in Mini War Roblox?
Barracks is a military production building, not an economy factory. This tier list covers economy factories only: Wheat Farm, Barracks, Workshop, Storage, Lumber Mill, Stone Quarry, Iron Mine, Steel Foundry, Coal Plant, Oil Refinery, Power Plant, and Research Lab.
Which factories should I build first in Mini War Roblox?
Build Wheat Farm first (S-tier, unlocks level 1, 120 coins). Then Lumber Mill at level 2 (A-tier, unlocks construction chains). Stone Quarry is your third priority at level 3 — it unlocks the Wall and Turret build chain. Skip Storage until late game unless you are in an income-race match.
Is the Power Plant worth building in Mini War Roblox early game?
No. Power Plant costs 1,400 coins, requires level 7, and has a 90-second build time. In early-game (waves 1-10) that slot and budget are far better spent on Wheat Farm + Lumber Mill. Power Plant unlocks Artillery — the strongest unit — but Artillery only matters in wave 15+ matches. Build it when you can already afford three economy factories first.
