Two controls that matter most in the first 5 minutes

After playing Mini War for 15+ hours, I noticed most new players struggle with two specific interactions: building placement and the Tech Tree panel. Left-click on an empty slot to open the build menu — not right-click, which only works on already-placed buildings. For the Tech Tree, the icon is the branching-node shape in the bottom UI bar; a lot of players miss it because it blends into the background on lower screen resolutions.

Building Placement Notes

Building placement cannot be undone without selling — you get 50% of the unlock cost back on a sell. Plan your first 5 slots before clicking. The optimal opener is Farm → Farm → Oil Refinery → Mine or Market → Power Plant. See the tier list for the full income/min rationale.

Mobile-Specific Notes

3 Control Mistakes That Cost New Players Income

1. Right-clicking an empty slot instead of left-clicking

Right-click only opens the upgrade/sell menu on placed buildings. On an empty slot it does nothing. New players spend 1–2 minutes confused before figuring this out.

2. Missing the Tech Tree panel entirely

I played for about 20 minutes in my first session without opening the Tech Tree because the icon was not obvious. Each T1 economy node adds 5–8% to your income/min — not unlocking this for your first 20 minutes is a significant economy loss.

3. Selling Farm to "make room" early

Farm is S-tier at 450 income/min. Selling it (250 refund) and replacing with a different building almost always lowers your income/min. Only sell Farm if you urgently need a Barracks for PVP defense — and even then, calculate the income loss first.

Military & PVP Timing

I tracked 5 Barracks-lean versus Farm-lean PVP matchups. Economy-first players won 4 of 5 despite lower early unit counts, because stronger income/min funded faster unit upgrades during the match. The military controls are simple — the decision of when to use them matters far more than the controls themselves.

Controls FAQ

How do you place buildings in Mini War Roblox?

Click the building slot in your base grid to open the build menu, then click the building you want to place. On mobile, tap the slot to open the menu and tap the building icon. You cannot drag buildings after placement — pick the slot carefully, especially for Farm which you want in the first two positions.

How do you zoom in and out in Mini War Roblox?

Scroll the mouse wheel up to zoom in and down to zoom out on PC. On mobile, pinch two fingers together to zoom out and spread apart to zoom in. The default zoom level shows your full base; zooming in helps you read building stats during placement.

How do you open the Tech Tree in Mini War Roblox?

Click the Tech Tree button in the bottom UI bar (the branching-node icon). The Tech Tree panel slides up from the bottom. You can scroll within the panel to reach T2 and T3 nodes. T3 nodes stay locked until you build a Power Plant. On mobile, tap the same icon in the bottom bar.

How do you join or manage an Alliance in Mini War?

Click the Alliance button (shield icon) in the top-right UI. From there you can create an alliance, search for one by name, or accept pending invites. Alliance management — promoting members, setting bonuses, kicking inactive members — is also inside this panel. On mobile it works the same with taps.

Is there a way to speed up the game in Mini War Roblox?

There is no time-speed control in the base game. Income accrues in real time. The fastest legitimate way to accelerate economy is through the Tech Tree multiplier chain and joining an active Alliance — both compound your income/min without changing the clock.

What does right-click do in Mini War Roblox?

Right-clicking on a placed building opens its upgrade and sell menu. This is the primary way to upgrade buildings mid-game. Right-clicking on empty map terrain outside your base has no action — it does not open a build menu there.
