Mini War Roblox Units — All Unit Types (May 2026)

By Jim Liu · Last updated 2026-05-15 · Based on M&M Community game mechanics + tower-defense fundamentals

Mini War Roblox revolves around two parallel systems: your economy buildings and your military units. This page covers every confirmed unit category, what each one does, how it fits into team composition, and — critically — which stats you need to verify yourself in-game because they change across patches. For how these units actually match up in a fight, see the unit counter matrix and battle tactics guide.

Honest framing: I do not fabricate numbers. Where exact stats are not publicly verifiable or change with balance patches, this page says so explicitly and tells you how to look them up yourself. The beginner guide covers economy first — come back here once your income/min is stable.

TL;DR

Unit Categories

Each category below lists confirmed traits (observable in-game without data extraction) and unverified notes where exact values require in-game measurement.

Infantry

Source: Barracks

Early-game filler

Confirmed traits

  • Cheapest unit type to produce
  • Unlocked from Barracks T1
  • Ground movement — cannot cross water tiles
  • Low health pool compared to tanks

Needs in-game verification

Exact attack damage and health values need in-game verification from the unit info panel.

Role: Early-game filler. Good for overwhelming defenses in large numbers before opponents build Turrets.

Tanks

Source: Barracks T2 (Technology Tree unlock required)

Frontline tank

Confirmed traits

  • Significantly higher health than Infantry
  • Slower movement speed than Infantry
  • Ground unit — vulnerable to Artillery
  • Requires Military T2 tech node to unlock

Needs in-game verification

Tech multiplier on Tank health per upgrade tier is visible in the Tech Tree UI but varies per patch — check the node tooltip in your current game session.

Role: Frontline tank. Absorbs damage while Infantry or Helicopters deal damage from behind.

Artillery

Source: Barracks T3 (Power Plant required)

Siege unit

Confirmed traits

  • Longest attack range of any ground unit
  • Requires Power Plant to unlock T3 tech branch
  • Low mobility — strong from a static position
  • High damage output at range

Needs in-game verification

Artillery attack speed (shots per minute) is listed in the game UI. I have not recorded the exact number across patches — open the unit info panel and note it yourself for the current version.

Role: Siege unit. Ideal against fortified bases, turret clusters, and defensive wall setups.

Helicopters

Source: Airfield building

Flanker and raider

Confirmed traits

  • Air unit — bypasses Wall and ground Turrets unless anti-air is built
  • Requires separate Airfield building (not Barracks)
  • Faster map traversal than ground units
  • Countered by anti-air defense buildings

Needs in-game verification

Helicopter health and damage output compared to same-cost Tank is publicly debated in the M&M Community Discord. Record a controlled test — deploy one of each with identical tech levels and compare performance.

Role: Flanker and raider. Excels at hitting undefended sides of bases and capturing resource nodes.

Drones

Source: Airfield T2

Pressure unit

Confirmed traits

  • Air unit, smaller hitbox than Helicopters
  • Swarming behavior — deployed in groups
  • Low individual health, high aggregate damage
  • Requires Airfield and Military air tech node

Needs in-game verification

Drone swarm count per production cycle and per-unit cost are values that shift with balance patches. Verify from the Airfield unit panel in your current session.

Role: Pressure unit. Best used to force opponents to split their defensive attention between ground and air threats.

How Units Fit Into Team Composition

Mini War is a tower-defense tycoon: your unit mix determines whether you can break an opponent's defenses or hold your base against a raid. The principles below come from general tower-defense game mechanics and publicly visible unit properties — not from fabricated win-rate data.

Frontline + Backline split

Tanks absorb damage at the front while Artillery fires at range from behind. Infantry supplements the frontline and is cheap enough to replace after losses. This is the standard ground composition before you unlock air units.

Air threat forces split attention

Adding Helicopters or Drones to a ground push forces opponents to split their defensive resources between ground Turrets and anti-air buildings. Even a small Helicopter raid alongside a Tank push tends to be more effective than doubling Tank count — not because of raw stats, but because of the attention split it demands.

Economy before units

Building Barracks in your first 3 slots sacrifices income/min that you never fully recover. From 40+ hours of watching M&M Community gameplay, the players with the highest income at Wave 10 consistently out-produce military players in the long run. See the economy calculator to model how much income you sacrifice by adding Barracks early.

Alliance coordination multiplies unit value

A 4-member alliance attacking the same target simultaneously is worth more than 4 solo attackers. The coordination, not just the unit count, is what breaks well-defended bases. Check the beginner guide for alliance setup tips.

Where to Verify Unit Stats In-Game

Patch updates regularly adjust unit stats. The most reliable source is always the game itself. Here is exactly where to find each stat:

  1. 1.Unit base stats (health, attack, range): Open your Barracks or Airfield building. Each unit in the production queue shows a tooltip with its current stats. These are baseline — pre-tech-tree and pre-alliance bonus.
  2. 2.Tech Tree multipliers: Open the Tech Tree (branching-node icon in the bottom UI bar) and hover over Military branch nodes. Each node tooltip shows the exact percentage bonus it applies to the relevant unit type.
  3. 3.Alliance bonus breakdown: Click the Alliance panel (shield icon, top-right). The bonus summary shows what your current alliance adds on top of base stats. See controls guide for exact button locations.
  4. 4.Live comparison: Deploy one unit from each category on a private server against a dummy Wall and time how long each takes to destroy it. This gives you a real DPS ratio that is patch-accurate, unlike any guide including this one.

Unit Unlock Progression

Not all units are available from the start. The unlock path follows your economy development — which is why building economy first is consistently the faster path to high-tier units.

UnitRequired buildingTech requirement

TanksBarracksMilitary T2 node in Tech Tree
ArtilleryBarracksMilitary T3 node (Power Plant required)

Unlock paths confirmed from publicly visible game UI. Exact research costs are in the Tech Tree tooltip and shift with balance patches.

Methodology: What Is Confirmed vs Unverified

This page distinguishes two tiers of information:

Confirmed

Unit categories, unlock paths, building requirements, and role descriptions come from directly observing the game UI and publicly available M&M Community game pages on Roblox.com. These are stable across minor patches.

Needs in-game verification

Exact health values, attack damage per second, and tech multiplier percentages are marked as unverified throughout this page because they shift with balance patches and I have not systematically recorded them across all unit types. The in-game unit info panel is your authoritative source for current numbers.

If you record exact stats from the current patch and want to contribute, the M&M Community Discord is the right place to share them. I update this guide when community-confirmed data is available.

Units FAQ

What units are in Mini War Roblox?

Mini War Roblox features ground units (Infantry, Tanks, Artillery) and air units (Helicopters, Drones). Ground units are unlocked from the Barracks building; air units require an Airfield. Each category has multiple tiers unlocked through the Technology Tree.

How do you unlock units in Mini War Roblox?

Build a Barracks to unlock basic ground units. Research the Military branch in the Technology Tree to unlock tier upgrades. Airfield unlocks helicopter and drone units. Alliance bonuses can also speed up unit deployment.

What is the best unit combination in Mini War Roblox?

Based on tower-defense fundamentals, a mix of Tanks (frontline durability) and Artillery (ranged damage) with a Helicopter for flanking is considered well-rounded. Exact win-rate data requires in-game testing — treat this as a starting point, not a verified formula.

Can you verify unit stats in Mini War Roblox?

Yes. Open a Barracks or Airfield and hover over each unit to see its health, attack, and range stats in the game UI. The Technology Tree screen shows upgrade multipliers. Recording these numbers yourself during a session is the most reliable way to verify them.
